I currently use the lower yield version, is the high yield better value?

It really depends on your printing requirements. If you find the toner meets your requirments, than stick with the lower yield model, 8,000 copies. The higher yield providing 20,000 pages is a good value if you need to print this many pages in 6 months or 1 year. If you are happy do not pay more for higher yield if you print less thatn 20,000 pages a year. Otherwise our Xerox 006R04378 toner compatible may meets your requirements.

I was going to purchase an extra toner, how long do they last on the shelf?

The shelf life for our Xerox 006R04378 toner, unopened, kept in a dry, dark place away from humidity will last for approx 12 months up to 18 in some cases. Due to the cost consider, if you are not printing 20,000 pages or more in a year, I would suggest you do not.

Will this toner work with my Xerox B305 printer?
